Julie has been an RN for over 30 years. She has worked in hospital settings as well as nursing home and rehab centers. In church, she has been VBS director, taught kids Wednesday night classes, sang in the choir, taught youth and served on various committees. She has a tender heart for the people of Nicaragua and loves them unconditionally.
In Nicaragua, she is "Mama Julie" to the house full of young men and women who stay with us. She always makes them laugh with the games and activities she plans for them and participates in herself...feeding, counseling and encouraging them to stay strong in their faith and to resist the temptations of the evil one. "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." I Corinthians 10:13.
