Mission Soccer Balls

themissionball.org The Mission Ball Soccer Ball

Every trip we see kids play football (what we call soccer) with anything they can kick. We've seen them kick coconuts with their bare feet. These soccer balls would be a great way of spreading the Gospel to these young boys. They are $25 each. If you get 25 of your friends together, you can purchase them for $12 each. 50 friends can purchase them for $10 each. 100 friends can purchse them for $8 each. Go to www.themissionball.org. Remember to purchase them in Spanish. Our next trip is the last two weeks of June.

Thanks to Coleman Sellers

Thanks to Coleman Sellers for donating a box of Gospel tracts in Spanish. They will be very useful as we minister in Nicaragua. It is help like this and prayers that enable us to go on our trips.

THANKS COLEMAN!!

Day 15 April 2

The worst day of the trip. We have to pack up, clean up the house and say goodbye.

As we go through Leon, we stop at the market to drop of some packages to be picked up later. Leaving the market, I get stopped for being in the wrong lane. The roads have no lines painted on them much less arrows. This ticket costs $40 to pay since the officer could see we were packed to leave and did not have time to wait two or three days to get my license back through the proper channels.

Day 14 April 1

The retreat is over and we had to take all the guys back to Bethel and Chichigalpa. The Policia are gearing up for Holy Week. They are on every street corner. Today we get stopped for having to many people in the back of the truck. We pay the officer the $20 fine, which he sticks in his pocket, and off we go, still with the same number of people in the truck.

In Bethel, we meet with a couple of the sick men and give them three months worth of medicine. We don't have the resources to help everybody, but we help who we can.

Day 13 March 31

We finished the series of discipleship books from New Life Community Church. I wish we could have taken the time to take it slower. Towards the end, we were all getting exhausted.

During the day we had free time. This was supposed to be the last day of the retreat. But instead, we decided to let the guys have some time just to hang out for a while before going back to their homes.

Day 12 March 30

This morning, Jorge takes over leading the Bible study. I have to go back to Leon to pick up my license. Freddy and summer go with me. This time we were in and out without much hassle.

Day 11 March 29

Today we continued in our Bible study with the materials from New Life Community Church. These materials were meant to be used in a one-on-one discipleship setting that would last six to eight weeks. We are using them in a group setting over the course of four days. The guys are loving it. I'm seeing lights come on as we discuss different topics. With Savannah as my interpreter, the language is not that much of an issue.

Day 10 March 28

Today we got up early to go to Bethel to pick up the boys for the Youth/Men's retreat. We have a wide range of ages in the young men who are coming. The tire that we had fixed yesterday is low on air today but not completely flat. The two places in Poneloya are not open yet. So we have to drive into Leon and have air added to the tire there.

Day 9 March 27

Today's devotion came from the last section of the tract we hand out. This section is entitled “Put your Trust in Jesus for Spiritual Growth.” This section deals with how to live a life pleasing to God.
